Privacy Policy

Last updated: 17 August 2026

Thank you for using Hapii ("the App", "we", "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have. By continuing to use Hapii you agree to this policy.

1. Who we are

Hapii is a personal wellness application developed by an independent developer based in the Czech Republic (European Union). If you have questions about this policy, contact us at info@hapii.space.

2. Information we collect

2.1 Account information

To use Hapii, you sign in using your email address and a one-time verification code (OTP). We store your email address to identify your account. No passwords are stored by Hapii — authentication is handled via email OTP only.

2.2 Wellness data you enter

All content you create inside the App — goals, milestones, notes, gratitude entries, routine check-ins, quiz answers, notebook entries, and garden (floral) levels — is stored on your device and synced to our cloud database (Supabase) so you can access it across devices.

Photos you attach to goal completion records are stored locally on your device only. They are not uploaded to our servers.

2.3 Social features

Pal messaging: when you share a goal with a Pal, both you and your Pal can exchange messages about that goal. These messages are stored in our cloud database and are visible only to the goal owner and the Pal(s) on that goal.

Feed stories: if you submit a success story to the Feed, it is reviewed by a moderator before being published. Published stories are visible to all Hapii users.

2.4 Device and technical information

Push notification tokens: we collect your device's push notification token (via Firebase Cloud Messaging) so we can send you remote notifications such as Pal messages and milestone reminders. Tokens are stored in our cloud database and linked to your account.

Device timezone: we collect your local timezone to schedule notifications at the correct local time.

Crash reports: we use Firebase Crashlytics to automatically collect crash reports. These include your device model, operating system version, app version, and a technical stack trace. Crash reports do not contain your personal wellness data or email address.

3. How we use your information

We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it for profiling.

4. Data storage and security

Your data is stored in two places:

All data in transit is encrypted (HTTPS/TLS). We do not store passwords.

5. Third-party services

6. Notifications

Hapii uses both local push notifications (generated on your device) and remote push notifications (sent via Firebase Cloud Messaging). No personal wellness data is included in notification payloads. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.

7. Children's privacy

Hapii is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe your child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

8. Your rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

To delete your account and all cloud data, open the App → Account → Delete account. Deletion is immediate and permanent. You can also email info@hapii.space with the subject "Delete my account" and we will process it within 30 days.

To exercise any other right, email us at info@hapii.space. We will respond within 30 days.

9. Data retention

We keep your cloud data as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all cloud data is erased immediately. Local device data remains until you uninstall the App or clear app data. Crashlytics data is retained according to Google's standard retention policy.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
